[UT2k4 Sig Tutorial] |
|
|
Create a new image in Photoshop by using: File/New. Make sure you follow the forum rules and make your signature within the guidlines; I making mine 400 x 200 (the pictures are resized for the tutorial). The first thing I did was to create a quick background. I made mine with clouds. To do this pick two (2) colors in the foreground and background, I chose Black and Red. Then go under Filter/Render/Clouds and then Filter/Redner/Difference Clouds. Do this as many times as you want until you find something you like.

The next step is to create a new layer. To do this go under Layer/New/Layer, next pick the Shape tool and select Rounded Rectangle. Next make a Rectangle that is even size inside your image. Color it white and then change the opacity to get the effect you see below.

Next take a screen shot from your game of choice. I decided on Unreal Tournament 2004. Crop your image so it is a little under half the size of your signature and place it over top of your other 2 layers. It should look like the image below.

To add a little flavor to the image I added a scan line layer. To do this follow my scan line tutorial. When you are finished the image should look like the one below.

To finish this up I added my personal info. I think that this is important because when people see your sig you want them to find out how to contact you and some info about your clan or team. When you are done it should look like the image below. |

These are just a few ideas on making a signature. Some other cool ideas are adding borders and outlines, also change up the background and the colors.
Any questions or comments leave them in the forum.
